The Asian stocks, US equity futures, and Treasury yields retreated on Friday as investors continued to scrutinize President-elect Joe Biden’s expected $ 1.9 trillion Code-19 bailout plan. After some surprises to deter investors from being cautious, attention was drawn to how much the package would eventually go to Congress and a reminder that it wanted some tax hikes. Biden’s proposal includes a new wave of spending, more direct payments to households, an increase in unemployment benefits and an expansion of vaccination and virus testing programs.
