Production of high and benchmark Treasury notes in US stocks remained at a 10-month high as investors boosted the prospects for economic recovery and the release of vaccines.

The S&P 500 closed green after fluctuating between profit and loss in most trading sessions, with beneficiaries including energy, materials and consumer discretionary sectors. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Nasdaq Composite outperformed the benchmark index. After a three-day rally, crude oil hit an 11-month high as the dollar weakened. Corn futures have risen above the exchange rate for the most active contract since May 2014.
